Prioritize Your Physical Health with These Three Tips

by | Oct 3, 2023 | Personal Development

Prioritizing your health is important in any capacity, but physical health is one that many people start to neglect as they get older. Obesity, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol … these are just the start of the list of preventable chronic conditions. The amount of movement you get in a day, however, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to physical health.

It’s also about what you eat, how much water you drink, the amount of sleep you get at night, and so much more. Here are a few things you can implement into your daily routine to help you prioritize your physical health just as much as your mental and emotional health.

Get in the kitchen.

Going through the drive thru, ordering takeout, and going out to eat are all tempting, but don’t be fooled. Cooking at home will always be the best option when it comes to healthy eating. Making your own food is the only way to know exactly what’s going into your meals, and it can help you make sure what you’re eating is nutrient dense and great for you!

Try planning out your meals for the week on Sundays and then going to the grocery store to buy all of your ingredients at once. This way, you don’t end up coming home on a Wednesday night only to find that you have no ingredients to make anything. If you need a little inspiration, try out some of these sheet pan dinners. Because they are made using only a sheet pan, you get a delicious dinner with minimal dirty dishes … it’s a win-win!

Take your vitamins.

Daily multivitamins are ideal for making sure your body is getting what it needs to thrive each day. While there is no replacement for a healthy diet, vitamins might help you fill gaps in your nutrition.*

When deciding which multivitamin is best for you, keep in mind that quality is key. This plant-based multivitamin includes 22 essential vitamins and minerals and 22 whole plant concentrates. Set them in your bathroom or on your kitchen counter to remind yourself to take them first thing in the morning!

Bonus Tip: This is a great place to remind you that drinking your water is crucial to your physical health. Up your water intake and you will feel the difference!

Prioritize your sleep.

Tired of feeling groggy and unmotivated throughout the day? The amount of sleep you’re getting at night could be a huge factor. Shoot for 7-9 hours of sleep every night and you should start seeing a significant difference in your energy levels!

If you need a little help falling asleep, melatonin might be helpful. If you’ve never heard of this before, melatonin is a key component of your sleep-wake cycle. These sleep gummies are made with both melatonin and passionflower to promote a good night’s sleep.

Getting a Fresh Start

Getting a Fresh Start

Contrary to popular belief, a fresh start doesn’t have to come on January 1st. It also doesn’t have to wait until after Labor Day, your birthday, or any other specific day of the year. In fact, you can decide right now, in this very moment, that you’re going to...
